Australian Tempratures, Weights & Measurments for Cooking
The difference between one country's measuring cups and another's is, at most, within a 2 or 3 teaspoon variance.
The most accurate way to measure dry ingredients is to weigh them. When measuring liquids, use a clear glass or plasic jug with the metric markings.
One Australian metric:
- measuring cup holds 250ml.
- tablespoon holds 20ml.
- teaspoon holds 5ml.
Eggs - recipes referring to 1 egg are typically 60g and sold as 'large eggs'.
